What is Brickvention?
Brickvention is the premier convention event for the Australian LEGO® Fan Community.
It is a three day event for Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs). Like other conventions, it offers workshops, presentations, special events and challenges. Two of the three days are allocated to a Public Expo of the models created by the AFOLs.
The event celebrates the coming together of the LEGO fan community which first evolved on the internet in the late 1990s.
Brickvention occurs annually around the third weekend in January.
When is Brickvention?
Brickvention is usually held in January at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton. Dates for our next event can be found on our home page.

What sort of glue is used to hold the models together?
LEGO bricks are actually designed to stick together really well without glue. For the most part, our model makers prefer not to glue their models. Quite often the bricks are re-used to create other models so it is not convenient to have them glued together. Instead, our model makers spend a lot of time and energy ensuring their models are strong and sturdy.
On the rare occasion that our model makers do use glue, they recommend Elmer’s Instant Krazy Glue which is available from Officeworks. Only a small amount is needed.
Isn’t LEGO just for kids?
No way! LEGO® is perfect for creating detailed models and original pieces of art. Perfect for all ages.
Who or what is Brickventures?
